Lecture at Maastricht University - the Netherlands

On November 28th 2016, Mr Suvra Chakraborty was invited to give a lecture at Maastricht University, one of the most reputed universities in the Netherlands. He was asked to share his vast experience in doing business in Emerging Markets and on international trade. The hour long lecture was aimed at students doing the “Emerging Markets” specialisation.

On November 29th, Mr Suvra was honored to speak at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France at the designation ceremony honouring Maestro Herman Makarenko the pronounced international Unesco title “Artist for Peace”. “This title was bestowed upon Mr. Makarenko in recognition of his commitment to promote music as a vehicle for dialogue and mutual understanding among people, his contribution to peace and tolerance, notably through the performances of the Kyiv-Classic Orchestra, and his profound commitment to the ideals and aims of the Organization”.

Speech at “Doing agribusiness in Ukraine” conference

On behalf of AMC Overseas, Mr Suvra spoke on Ukraine's agro business potential and possibilities in Asia and Africa. The topics covered were destinations of export, products of export and internal logistics solutions. Additionally, an interview was taken and published in a reputed Agri journal in Ukraine. |
ITC, UN (Geneva) Consultant

Mr Suvra has been appointed as a consultant to International Trade Centre (ITC), in a project aimed at “Linking Ukrainian SMEs in Fruits and Vegetable Sectors to Global and Domestic Markets and Value Chains”. ITC is a joint agency of World Trade Organization and United Nations. The project shall increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian fruits and vegetables in the global market.

AMC celebrates 20 years

In July of 2016, AMC Overseas turned 20 years old. The celebration took place in an informal setting in a closed circle of employees. In addition to the fun activities which included go carting and other team games, the management reflected on the past and strategic objectives for the future were set. All employees were given gifts for their hard work and commitment to the company's values and goals. |
